Missing Categories and Articles

Most of my categories have vanished along with all the articles that were under them. I can still view the categories if I use the world view but I cannot open thme or find the articles under them. The side bar that should allow me to access my categories and articles is only listing a select few. I have tried using the search option for the missing categories and articles and it say 0 results found.

Hey, are you still experiencing this issue? If so, can you give me an example of a category you can no longer find in the Article Management?
